As an international student, you can take advantage of affordable tuition and our international student scholarship. In addition to our international student scholarship, you may qualify for a variety of additional WLC scholarship opportunities.
Your admissions counselor will connect you with a financial aid representative to explore opportunities to make your education at WLC as affordable as possible.
2025-2026 International student fees
- Tuition: $37,360
- Housing/Meals (two-person residence hall room, average): $12,600
- International Health Insurance* (estimate): $2,745

*Health insurance is required for all international students. Questions regarding cost can be directed to the Business Office. Questions about coverage can be directed to the Office of Health Services.
Students should budget approximately $1,500-$3,000 per year for personal expenses. It is recommended that this amount is included when certifying the total amount of funding available to you.
Students who have financial hardship may want to seek sponsorship through churches, organizations, etc. This will be the student's responsibility. Wisconsin Lutheran College does not provide sponsors for students.
2024-2025 International student scholarships
International Student Scholarship
Maximum of $6,000 USD per academic year
The amount a student is qualified for is determined based on academic records, test scores, and financial need. International students attending secondary school outside of the United States who complete their application to WLC are automatically considered for an international student scholarship.
International Christian Scholar Grant
Maximum of $20,000 USD per academic year
The amount a student is qualified for is determined based on academic records, test scores, and financial need. Enrollment in a Christian secondary school located in the United States is required. International students who complete their application to WLC automatically are considered.
Partners in Christian Education Scholarship
Maximum of $2,000 USD per academic year
Eligibility: Available to incoming freshmen who graduate from a Christian high school and continue their education at WLC. The $2,000 Partners in Christian Education Scholarship is renewable each year, for a lifetime value of $8,000. Transfer students who graduated from a Christian high school are eligible for a $1,000 Partners in Christian Education Scholarship, renewable each year.
Fine Art Scholarships
Wisconsin Lutheran College offers competitive scholarships for incoming students with exceptional artistic, dramatic, or musical abilities. Our art, music, and theatre scholarships are valued at up to $2,000 per year, renewable each year for a lifetime value of up to $8,000.
Scholarships for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents
U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents should plan to submit the FAFSA application and follow the scholarship and financial aid guidelines as outlined for first-time freshmen.
International student BILLING
Enrollment Deposit
A $300 US enrollment deposit is required once admitted to WLC to secure a place in our on campus housing and access to early pre-registration for classes. Payment can be made by a paper check from an American bank made out to "Wisconsin Lutheran College."
Paying School Fees
Bills are sent prior to each semester in mid-July for the fall semester and mid-December for the spring semester. The full amount of your fall semester fees is due on August 1. The spring semester fees are due on January 10. Payment plans are available upon request.
